Haven't been on much the past month. Hope all is well with your and yours.

Sobering is just the right word cmmonte. I suffered a heart attack back in 2000, and THAT was a sobering experience that helped me assess my existence in the correct perspective; I truly found out how frail we really are. My relationship with Jesus has improved much, afterwards, needless to say! When I go---for I WILL have to go one of these days!---I want to go with Him, and not with Satan. And that's a fact. Still praying for your dad, AK. Tell him your "Z Family" keeps trusting God will heal him!

Ak that is great news will continue to pray for your Dad till he's back Home and we hear his back to his normal self, thanks for keeping us updated all this time. Peace and god bless

I'm still driving back and forth everyday. I am very happy to say the Z was there EVERYDAY when I needed it. The Z drove like soldier. This last one month I accumulated a lot miles on the Z. Not a single issue or problem.

This is absolutely great news to hear AK! I'm very happy to hear that he is making this kind of progress! All the best to you, your father, and the rest of you family.

He is finally at home

Thanks everyone for your prayers. Without your prayers, this would not have been possible. I brought him home on Monday evening. Me and my brother are watching him VERY closely because of all the medicine he is taking. He can slowly walk, talk and remembers everything. He is slowly regaining strength. His appetite and sleep are coming back slowly.

I have been taking him to multiple doctors office EVERYDAY. He also needs labs done EVERYday. Why? because he is on couple of different blood thinners. They need to make sure his blood doesn't get too thin. One can die from bleeding from brain if the blood is too thin. Also, if the blood is too thick, then heart has to work extra hard to pump the blood which is bad. There are RN's that comes to house twice a week to check on him and give him physical therapy.

It's amazing how far modern medicine has advanced. Two weeks ago, surgeon told me that he may NOT make it out from the heart surgery because how critical his condition was. Today, he is walking, talking , eating and remembers everything (everyone)! Simply amazing.

Thanks everyone for your support!

j.arnaldo 11-07-2009 11:34 AM

BTW, AK, although my mother's very healthy for a 90-year-old woman (no Alzheimer's, no Parkinson's, no diabetes or high blood pressure!), she HAS fallen a couple or three times. She hasn't really injured herself, but, on one of the occasions, she struggled for over an hour to get up. When I asked her why she didn't call me, she said the she didn't want to "bother" me! Brave, brave woman that I not only love, but also admire. She still cooks light stuff, does her own laundry, and does other easy tasks around her home. I go visit with her every day, and help out with whatever's too hard for her, in the house and yard. I, TOO, ASK THAT YOU GUYS PRAY FOR HER. Thank you in advance, my friends! And, NO, my sister, who lives upstairs from her, in the apartment that mom built for her and whose rent mom pays!, WILL NOT come downstairs to help her. I'm taking anti-depressants due to that situation. I think I ALSO need your prayers! God bless, dudes.

Wow AK, just reading this now but I am so sorry to hear about this, very happy to hear that he is making a strong recovery. I will be the first to say, much credit to the skilled doctors who cared for and worked on your father.

If I believed in god(s) I would put up a prayer, but know that you and your family are in my thoughts and I wish you all the best, stay strong.
