Question First Z - Awesome Car - 1 question

I am new to the Forum and also the proud owner of my first Z - a chicane yellow coupe with both touring and sport packages. Prior rides included 2003 Corvette and 1999 Porsche Boxter S. I would rate the new Z as best sports car of the three, by far. I am approaching 3,000 miles; my only concern to date would be oil temp; it hovers around 220 degrees in town and ranges from 240 to 250 degrees at highway speeds. Also noticed the car burned approximately 2 1/2 quarts of oil during the break in; that seems to have stablized at this point. I've seen a number of threads dealing with the oil temp issue. I'm seriously considering installation of an oil cooler. I would like to keep this car for the long term; my sense is that oil operating temps ranging from 240 to 250 degrees for highway driving will result in premature wear to vital engine parts. Any comments or suggestions regarding oil temp, oil consumption during break in, or installation of an oil cooler, would be greatly appreciated. I live in Atlanta - lots of hot, humid weather in store for the car this summer. The Forum seems like a great site; excellent source of information. Thanks in advance for your comments.
