I worked on a car that had a v1 and I did like it but I see no reason why it is better than cheaper radar detectors other than easily readable.

I plan on taking it into work espeacially on my convertible which I will leave the top down and I would not leave it on the bike nor do i want to have a wire dangaling there when not in use. Also not sure how much longer I will keep my civic as I am looking for a 4 door car. I know about the hard wire kits as well.

Cordless is just the way I want to go.
