you will get plenty of responses. The mobil one/k&n are made specifically for the extended drain intervals.

I have run the purolater filter on my wifes 09 CRV for the entire oil cycle (about 8500miles). If honda recommends using their filter for the entire cycle, then a purolater can handle it with no problem.
