Default Holliday's Journal

Winter is here so I have some time to start documenting my projects. I did not realize how much I had already done until I started viewing my pictures! WOW! HAHA! I started buying parts before I even had my Z delivered.

Here is my part stash I accumulated before taking delivery of my Z.

LED/BULB UPGRADES

Interior LED upgrades. I also did this in the trunk area as well.

Here are my exterior LED upgrades.

Here is my HID upgrade to 8000k bulbs.

Front and rear stealth bulbs were installed also. Here is a quick comparison.

CLEAR BRA

I was not sure if I wanted a clear bra at first, and finding an installer in Germany was going to be impossible. I did my research and came across an internet store where I purchased my clear bra and installed it myself. I had no experience at all and I must say it came out great! (Purchased from clearmask.com)

Here is the thread I made: ClearMask Paint Protection (Clear Bra) Installation

Here is the kit out of the tube, during installation and finished

H&R SPACERS

Next is my H&R spacers. I went with 15mm up front and 20mm in the back. I opted to use stud replacements all around. Installation was easy and there is no vibration from these spacers. (Purchased from Stillen)

INJEN INTAKE SYSTEM

Here is my Injen intake setup. Fit and finish are awesome! I love the dry flow filters and the black finish is amazing. The only "flaw" would be the fluid level sensor hole, or loack of it! That didn't stop me from modifying and fitting a new sensor I had laying around. Here is my thread on it: Injen CAI windshield washer tank And the rest of the kit. (purchased from thmotorsports)

OIL COOLER SETUP

Now for the well known Modshack oil cooler setup. This was purchased well before I even had my Z. I decided this was the best option for me and so did many others. Installation was easy and it works great. I went with the larger purolator filter and filter magnet also. (purchased from racerpartswholesale.com)

TOURING PEDALS

I was not happy with the stock plastic pedals, and I did not really like the other aluminum pedals on the market. I opted to spend a little more $$ and get the touring pedals for my Z. Installation was simple and easy. A bit of cursing and a quick reset and I was GTG! HAHA (purchased from Scott@Fontana Nissan)

AMS SHORT SHIFTER AND NISMO KNOB

I decided to get rid of the stock shifter setup. I went with the AMS adjustable short shifter and the nismo aluminum shift knob. I am very pleased with everything, especially the AMS shifter. (knob purchased from ebay, shifter purchased from Z1motorsports)

PIONEER CD/DVD PLAYER

The stock base cd player is the cheapest part on the car by far! I went with a simple AVH-P4100 Pioneer double din CD/DVD player for my Z. It has the option to change the button color so I can match the orange interior theme with it. I plan to upgrade the stock speaker down the road but for now I am happy with the system. (purchased from Best Buy)

BERK HFC's

Here is my Berk HFC install. I did my fare share of research for these bad boys. I had already ordered my Berk CBE in GB#2 so I knew these would pair up perfectly. I was worried about it being too loud but that was not the case. I sure did dread that infamous "DEMON BOLT" that everybody had reported on the board. I used my friend liquid Wrench and was able to get the cats off in one piece! (purchased from Import Parts Pro GB)

BLACKED OUT VALANCE

Here is my blacked out rear valance. I used satin black Krylon fusion paint. I prepped with 1000 grit sand paper before cleaning with denatured alcohol. I put about 3-4 thin coats and it was GTG. I have not had any peeling, cracking, or bubbling at all. All in all it came out great.

OIL CAP & GROUND KIT

Here is my aluminum oil cap and my home made grounding kit. I used 4 gauge wire and soldered the ends. I then then wrapped the cables in this fire resistant shielding and heat shrinked the ends. Here are some quick pics. (cap purchased from ebay, ground kit made by me)

STANT GAS CAP

This one was quick and easy. The STANT InStant fill gas cap. It is so simple and effective! I never touch the cap and I have never had the CEL light tripped from it either. I would recommend this easy mod to anyone. (purchased from ebay)
