I just got done installing mine. I have a 6MT and was able to install the switch with out having to disconnect the hazard switch. I left the silver trim piece with the hazard switch in place and only pulled up the black bezel with the stitching on it. From there it is the same walk through as in the beginning of the post. It took me about 15 min. Button looks great. Like some one mentioned before the button is not a true red color but more of a metallic red. The Z should have come with it in the first place.
