without photos, its hard to say what you should do. you say its not severe, but everyone judges scratches/scuffs differently. it may just need something as a simple clay/polish, or you may need something a little more like a rubbing compound. obviously you'd want to do the least invasive treatment, so being able to see the scuff would help us determine what needs to be done.
