The car was sold with 6000 miles on the clock. So, Nathan has put a bit over 5000 miles on it. No maintenance has had to be done except oil changes and as a matter of fact, there was a compression test done on the car a few weeks back just for giggles. Perfect compression held across all six cylinders.
Even if your math were correct, why would 9000 miles affect the motor or keep it from running perfectly?
