I think you're referring to a traditional strut bar that is mounted to the actual strut. If an aftermarket bar that mounts in that traditional location were produced yes you would need to either remove the interior plastics or modify them to fit. As the 370z already has enough chassis rigidity in the body and the existing rear body brace any aftermarket bar mounted above the strut bar wouldn't really affect anything.
