This explanation is spot on. +1 for you.

To answer the question about the actual mirrors being JDM/RHD I do think that since both mirrors are wide angle it should be fine and not throw off the view. I ran JDM wide angle replacements over my stock mirrors on my previous vehicle without any issues.
