Welcome and Congrats on the car man. First off, the Noise. I have come to learn that Nissan's engines and transmissions are very noisy. The engine sounding noisy or rough has been a complaint from alot of the testers but its normal. Nothing a CAI and CBE cant fix LOL. As for the whine I hear it in 1st sometimes, its normal and just the sound of the tranny. The Z is a bad a** car that makes alot of weird noise, have you heard the rattle from the tranny that sounds like your through out bearing is shot?? its all normal. The people who complain about it should have forked out the extra 10k and bought a G37. As for your paint issue I would have them repaint it. If it still looks like crap contact Nissan North American and complain some more. Good luck man.
