Hey all,

I have a mountian bike and i tke off both wheels; lay the frame down in the trunk with the handle bars turned facing the bumper and I remove the trunk shade cover and the back end of the frame hangs over the cross bar. I can usually get that end to sit in the corner by the door or it ends up in in the middle. I cover the end where the chain is and the cross bar witha towel. I put the rear tire in a plastic bag on the front seat and put a towel on the frame and lay the front tire on that. I have no problems doing it that way. It takes me about 2 min to load and unload the bike.
