Exactly what I was thinking to myself.

I've always been under the impression that mandrel bent tubing flows better than Frankenstein assembled tubing? That the 'pie cut' method was the shade tree mechanic way of hacking/making your own headers & exhaust system. (There's an exhaust system that I recently came across on this forum that is manufactured the same way.)

It used to be that header manufacturers would brag about their 'mandrel bent' headers. Why have some manufactures gone back in time apparently?

Is there a real performance gain? Is it strictly for the appearance? Just a gimmick?
