Radar detectors are legal in all US states, except Virginia and Washington DC. They are illegal in all Canadian provinces, except Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. In the UK radar and laser detectors are still legal (December 2005), but will soon be outlawed in the new Road Safety Bill. In all other European countries they are illegal.
