DCH Freehold Nissan was great!!
I went to Manhattan Nissan first. They didn't know VPP program at all...
Then, tried East Coast Nissan. This is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. They said they have the car I wanted in upstate NY and demanded a non-refundable deposit.

The even showed me the inventory list of the dealer in upstate to convince me to put the deposit. While they were running my credit check and prosessing the deposit, I pull the inventory list and saw the name of the dealer (the name was blacked out but it was see-through...and this is just for my curiosity).

They told me that they'll get me the VIN# and interest rate by the end of the day (needed this to get my car loan from my bank). They never called me and I called them but no response.

I went back to the dealer next day and asked whether the car is available for a swap and its VIN. The said the dealer in upstate didn't call back and yada yada yada.

I felt this is a little weird, so I called the dealer in upstate............They said they already sold the car about a week ago. Furthermore, the sales manager kindly informed me that they never received a call from East Coast....WTF??

I went back to the dealer and asked what's going on. The told me that I called the wrong dealership. I pointed out the name of the dealer on the inventory list they showed me....they couldn't say anything but told me this is a non-refundable deposit.

I went through all the documents to get the deposit back. And I found out that they put bogus number on VPP sheet. Well, they could put any number on the VPP sheets if they don't put VIN.

The price they put on the VPP sheets were about $1,500 higher than "true" VPP price. Obviously, they didn't want to sell the car at VPP price because of lesser profit but they put bogus number on the VPP to make me believe I am buying the Z at VPP price.

So, I told them that I would be calling Nissan USA for this, and they quickly returned my deposit back.

I have a friend at DCH Honda and he referred me to a DCH Freehold Nissan. Wow, they are super! I called and informed tham that I am eligible for VPP, the color and option I wanted. By the time I got there, they already called other dealerships to ensure they can swap, and VIN and price were set. Unfortunately, there were no white nor blue but they can get me silver.

When I went to DCH to pick up the car. They detailed the car and the car was parked under the shade. There was no push to sell me additional warranties, window etching, or etc which I don't need.

So, in conclusion, I had a great buying experience at DCH. Sales person was nice and "honest". He even called me a week later to see how happy I am with the car.
