Nissan 370Z Forum - View Single Post - AE Performance Rd.3 Vegas Time Attack Recap.

The AE Performance Crew packed up and headed out to Sin City for Rd. 3 of the Redline Time Attack. Located at Las Vegas Motor speedway this round, it was a first for all of us. The grounds were very nice and we were all excited to get out onto the track.
The track was pretty basic but fun. Only gripe was it promoted much more understeer than other track's b/c it is so flat.

For this round the latest additions to our Z were the much anticipated AE 370Z Exhaust. The added hp and tq felt great and we had several onlookers headed over to our pits after hearing fly-by's of the car to check out the new system. (Stay tuned for a full announcement on it)

In Practice the car felt great. A slight adjustment to our sway bar and tire pressures got rid of the understeer issue we were having and begun a great session, pulling off some quick laps.

In Qualifying we strapped on some fresh Hankook RS3's I clicked off a best time of 1.51.856., 11 sec's quicker than the next fastest car in our class at the time. Things were looking great until we had an unexpected incident on track that took the car out of commission for the Time Attack.

It was a tough break for the AE crew this weekend but we did get to celibrate the class win with Carl Rydquest' in the AE Performance 996 Turbo.

Carl won 1st place in Rwd Mod class with a time of 1.45.967.
