At the same time don't pretend the stillen pieces are without flaws either. The slip fit weld at the filter side should have been properly tapered (or a smooth radius preferred) rather than leaving that edge inside the tube. That coupled w/ the fact that there are no real mounting system for the filters and over the long term the can get holes rubbed in them from the factory mounting brackets in the area as the filters bounce around.

I will vote for the K&N drop ins to get you by until you go forced induction
