Default Kenwood DNX-6960 Install Problem, Speaker Issues

Well, I had a reputable local installer put the DNX-6960 into my 370Z with Bose audio today. Overall the unit is very impressive, and I'll post up a separate review thread. However, nothing goes without a hitch for me.

On the drive home, I quickly discovered that the subwoofer is dead. The rear speakers sound like they only get mid and high frequency as well, but JB1 listened to his and said they are the same. The connector at the sub is fine. The settings in the HU have the sub activated and I've tried every iteration of on/off, level settings, crossovers, etc with no sound from the sub. It seems more like an issue between the Bose amp and sub than with the HU and Bose amp...I could certainly be wrong though.

Anyone with some knowledge have any ideas? I'm certainly going back to the installer to let them sort it out, but I won't be able to get back there for almost three weeks now. Any advice to assist with the troubleshooting later would be very welcomed and much +rep'd.
