Correct. It was a GTO in the movie. Saleen made the body panels to make the GTO look like the Camaro. They did a fantastic job, but again, it was a GTO, not a Camaro. GM wouldn't let them use their test mules on the movie because they weren't fully working.
A couple months after the movie came out, GM had a couple of test mules roll out to the local big car meet ups here in Los Angeles to show off the car and answer questions. I showed up just after they'd got there, so I didn't get to see them park, but when the GM guys were leaving with the car, they had a hell of a time "prepping" it just to start the engine.
