Well, I have a rule of thumb when it comes to internet debates. I look at who I'm considering getting into a debate with. If I know the guy and know him to be a reasonable person, I have no qualms about starting the debate because I figure we'll either end up on the same page, or at worst we'll respectfully agree to disagree with one another. On the other hand, if I don't know the guy, or worse yet know him to be a douche, I'll just keep my mouth shut and walk away, because it's not worth the aggravation. Well okay, I've been known to engage a few douchebags every now and then just to tear them a new one. But I
usually go by these guidelines.
