I've had toasters delivered to my house with better protection. Unlike the OP, I had no paper inbetween the pieces helping to "fill out" the box. I got a few pieces of bubble wrap around each piece, but not much other than that. It looks like someone spent an entire 5 minutes prepping this order for shipment. Luckily, even though the box was almost entirely destroyed during shipping, the exhaust appears to be free of any dents or dings....surprisingly.
