Its funny even with the Nav in my 40th, often I'll still print directions off Goggle maps, don't ask me why lol:icon17:

My favorite thing about the 40th is that I'm done, it is great as it is. Other people are buying wheels, seats, wraps, etc, my car is a unique conversation piece as is...If it was AWD, I would never need another car.

If only you came to this meeting you would understand why

40th Owner

I love my car i love on an island off the gulf coast of Florida. i get offers left on my car to buy it almost daily. the color and rarity of the model makes it unique. People swear i modified the car and ask what it is, while the badgeing is clearly still on the car and no visible mods have been done. I just bought a nav system from someone in the forums i really wish the car had it originally but now i have a stock nav system coming in. Im toying with lambo doors to really show off that red interior. i add the titanium shift knob to give the inside some flare along with all interior lights upgraded to red leds. i recommend the purchase of the red GTR button and GTR clear lens for the over head lights. the interior is durable. to be honest i live in a very prominent and wealthy area. My Z gets a lot of love despite all the exotics that drive around. my neighbor has a V10 Viper and loves to drive my car more than his car. i want to darken my tail lights and head lights. still toying with the idea of new rims. its a great car a real head turner and some great eye candy. my Fiance loves my car. She owns a BRZ Limited i think secretly she wants to be a Z owner too hahaha.:happydance:

The proud... The few... 40thZ owners. I've had my 40th for 2 years now and all these 13' Z guys still awe at my car. Even the rare Nismos in town still follow me a around to say I wish I got a 40th.

It is the color....I bought mine new and she still gets stares....CANT GO WRONG WITH A 40TH!!!

Agree. If they made the cubby door open into the dash like the 350, it wouldn't be as bad, especially for those that like to leave it open. I hate that it sticks out.

I like how the door looks, but it can't stay once I have a tablet there.

It's not permanent at all. It's held up by magnets I epoxied to the back of the dash. When I pull the ipad off the door closes and it looks like stock. That was my objective when I came up with the idea. The whole project is in the DIY section :tiphat:

While I love the black 370's & the white 370's, the gunmetal grey of the 40th is unique, from the body, to the wheels, to the red interior. Enhanced by Stillen in a few "special" ways and its a ride you'll never get tired of...

Houston Z33 01-26-2015 12:41 AM

Has anyone else noticed that the purple is fading out of the gunmetal?

Chii 01-26-2015 02:41 PM

My .02

I love the interior color, but jeans dye the seats and make them look gross. The same goes for the door cards. The red door card gets pretty grubby from closing your door constantly.

The paint code seems to be difficult to match. I have a tube of touchup from Nissan and it's not perfect, but thats to be expected with a metallic I suppose.

Not having a nav kind of sucks. For aesthetics and functionality. Another downside to the audio system is not having BT audio even though I have a BT phone connection. Come on Nissan...

Other than that, no regrets at all.

As for Bluetooth Audio, Grab one of THESE.
RFX Source Units - RFBTAUX - Rockford Fosgate®

As for Nav (with a side order of Bluetooth)
Android Auto and Apple Car Play head units will be on shelves later this year.

Once those drop, I plan fixing the lack of Nav/BT Audio/Backup Camera.

Dilute Woolite with luke warm water will clean them right up.

LMBmikeZ 02-08-2015 01:21 AM

:iagree: that is one of the best ways to clean it up

you can also look on the alcantara site for proper maintenance and cleaning

Cleaning Alcantara and general maintenance | Alcantara

~37oZ~ 02-11-2015 12:50 AM

Woolite is probably the best. Our interiors aren't real Alcantara anyway.
