The 40th with Aftermarket Wheels Thread
 

I have been thinking about what type of wheels I would want to get on my 40th by looking at as many different setups as possible. While doing this I thought it would be nice to have a thread just of 40th's with different wheel setups. So here are pics of all the setup's I could find. If you have pics or can find pics of wheel setups that are not shown please post them.

Nice idea for a thread...I was actually curious about what those Avant Guard (5th from the bottom) would look like on a 40th as a saw a set really cheap in the FS section

I just can't decide if I want want lots of lip or not. It just seems with wheels this wide, its a crime not to get something with a lip lol.

I think I saved one or two i could add on the work computer

Great thread idea, could have used this 6 months ago. That said I decided to go with work GS4s in black. I'm biased but love dark wheels with our color. I've attached some pics below. I'm currently on 19" considering an upgrade to 20".

Those are my 2 favourites from the ones you posted, there is another set I like and I will look for it to share (might have to photoshop it though). I know there's a guy in Cali who has the Nismo's on a 40th and he has them colour matched (at least it appeared to be that way) I really like the Nismo's when they are smoked!

Thanks hopefully it can help some folks out. Whenever I actually pull the trigger on something I will be sure to add it to the thread. Not sure when that will be though.

Nismo wheels look good too. I'd like to find somebody to trade + cash but haven't found anyone lol.

It is a photoshop but gives a good idea anyway.

3rd - Venaci 99RR - Custom one off's for username Nitrouz Venaci is no longer available with VIP Status (where he got them from), however I believe that UAM can still get the same rims for you.

6th - Ones that look very close to them are Weds Sport SA-55 not exact as in the picture like the ones djpathfinder HAS but close, little more concave IMO.

Ummm, the 6th one IS a pic of my former car. :tup: LOL. Those were a one-off monobloc design last year when I had them made. They have since been refinished satin black and are now on my GT-R, as you can see in my signature. :driving:

Wish you had the stock GTR wheels.... :-(

I knew it wasn't the Weds Sport SA-55's but looked through your threads and albums and found nothing so I just looked for something as close as possible! I fixed my first post to read a little better.....

I dont have a 40th but I am enjoying the pics that are posted, really great looking cars (and wheels!) :tiphat:

^These do it for me. I just imagine myself walking up to get into the car in pic 2, and it feels right.

Though the Nismo wheels look pretty sexy on our car too! But rims are last on my list as I think the stock ones look great!

I have a little fund on the side that should be enough within the next year or two to do a big mod just not sure what I will want to spend all the money on. :ughdance:I am leaning more towards a GTM TT kit over a custom wheel setup. I really miss the boost that I had with my old Z.

If by dirty you are referring to an owners desire to get it off the car ASAP in order to keep it clean then yes I agree these would look dirty on a 40th.

Srenity, looking good. Why not 19's though? I love those wheels.

Weight and comfort mostly. I also like that the front brake takes up the entire space under the wheel. Personally I like the look of a bit fatter tire rather than ultra low profile tires with 20's. I do like 19's on the Z but 20's are too big for my taste.
