If Darkpath's suggestion to contact Staci doesn't work, for whatever reason, then just email Nissan. I used the "Contact Nissan" link at the bottom of the nissanusa.com site. Fill in the info, and tell them your VIN number and what information you would like (i.e. build date and number). I received a phone call from corporate within a few days. It was an extremely painless process overall.

Just sent my request in! I finally got a hold of someone in the states(not from India lol). Anyway figured I should share with the other Canadian owners because the lady said they can figure out our build numbers to!! So get your requests in!

Ya they said they would give me all the info, they actually seemed to know what I was talking about for once! Lol. Made it much easier to talk to them.

Ok, I called and they opened up a file and said they'd get back to me in 2 to 4 business days.

Fingers are crossed that the don't call back and say they can't provide a number for Canadian 40THs.

The number I called is actually the same number that was used to contact Heidi Stacy or whoever. It seems that the number and extension is a general one that is answered by different people in that department. If everyone who does not have a build number was to call during these next few days I am sure that they would have an easier time to get this information since many of the agents have it fresh in their minds on how to get this information.

Ya also hope you don't get forwarded to an outsourced call center from India! They don't seem to know what your asking for! I have called multiple times over the time I've owned my car(may2010) and today I was so surprised the lady knew what I wanted and could help me out! Even being from Canada!!! Can't wait!

I tried the 458129 extension and it rang four times and then went dead. So I just went to the general questions on the automated thing and talked to someone at random. She didn't quite know what I wanted. She talked to someone ekse and they told me to look at the plaque on my car. Maybe they thought I had a Nismo. Anyway, I told her it wasn't written in my car anywhere so she talked to someone else. It seems they have some sort of official form to fill out to get the build number. Next week we'll find out if this works. :yum:

Last week I sent an email request in to Nissan USA asking for a replacement owner's manual and in the same email I asked for the build date and code. I got an email response the next day saying that the manual would be delivered in the next few weeks and that the request for build date and code was sent to another department. The email said that I should hear something in 2-4 days about the date and code. Two days later, I received a call from Nissan with the date and the code. It couldn't have been any easier to do.

The number that I ccalled to get my info was 1-800647-7261 ext 41462. I got source out to India on all of my calls but Im telling you, the guy took time and looked for the information on his creen and could not find it. I explained to him that I had the 40th model and that it was a limited production run of 1000. He told me that he was placing a request within their system and that he would call me with the information with 5 or 6 business days. I called back within three days and spoke to another lady. I explained what I was looking for and gave her the request number that the first guy gave me to reference my case. The lady elevated the importance of my request and in 2 days I got a call back with my information. You got to call, then call like the next day and maybe the following day and I guarantee you will get your info. I know it worked for me.
