Was supposed to be hot and no rain, and while doing my bi-weekly scheduled drive, it started pouring equivalent to a FL hurricane and I did drive over an entrance road that had water collected (probably about 3 inches of standing water and going about 10 mph when pulling in). Checked the insides of the intake filter boxes and was dry as a bone.
They are at the front of the radiator core support from what I remember. At the top. No, the external CSC is not bothered by water. It won't suck it into the system.
