I think blocking off the heater circuit would be no big deal, with minimal impact to the operating temperature. Might actually run a little bit hotter with the heater blocked because normally there would be a small temperature drop in the heater circuit as it circulates, even with no air flow across the core.

I wonder if one could block off both the ports on the side of the block, but I don’t really understand the purpose of the circulation loop on the back of the head on bank 2? Unless it’s to warm up and open the thermostat earlier than without it? I know my engine warms up really fast in stock configuration.
