1) AFAIK the power steering and clutch systems are separate, but you may have nicked something while doing the clutch.

2) Inspect for damage for any fittings, check for leaky fluid, damaged/worn bushing (that could be the play?)

As you are in socal, there should be no shortage of options to find Nissan specific shops, like Specialty Z
