Stupid questions: I've never paid off a car note before and always traded them in as long as I had positive equity:

1. Does my bank automatically send me the title or do I have to request?
2. Does the bank also update the state (FL) or is this on me?
as soon as that loan shows a zero balance, they'll mail you the title.. it could take a week or two depending on your bank. As far as updating the state, im not sure about that, sounds like something you would do at the DMV along with your recently obtained title.
