I have never seen one oil used for both. The friction requirements are very different between a differential (slippery as possible aka GL5) and a manual transmission (just enough friction so the syncros work properly aka GL4)



For me, I only use the Nissan MTL in the transmission and any synthetic 75W90 in the diff.



If your gear shifting starts to feel "crunchy" please get that stuff out asap to prevent syncro teeth damage.
Yea royal purple is the same way lol, ive switched to royal purple at 27,000 miles and i now have 55,000 with no issues. Im just switching because its due already. I wanna try enoes, because in the catalog it say its recommend for trannys that require 75w85. Todays oil it's far more superior in ever way. Im really not worried about it. Ill keep you guys posted on the outcome
