Just to add my 2 cents to the naming confusion,
a while back a person who supposedly knows some insider info (and also correctly predicted the 9AT, amongst other things) said that in USA the car will simply be called "Nissan Z". The test mules that were delivered to Arizona for testing had their badges taped over, but in one shot it can be clearly seen that under the tape is a very large "Z" emblem on the rear light panel on the passenger side, and it is obviously just a "Z" and doesn't have a 300 or 400 or Fairlady anywhere near it.. The hatch lid did not have any emblems like the proto's "Fairlday Z", it is totally devoid of emblems in that area.
