If you do ever feel the urge to get rid of the VWs, bring 'em over to the West Coast. They have cult status here and go for way too much money.
BTW, I don't think you have "too many" cars. Seems reasonable.
Heck, I'd even argue you should find room for a full-size truck, they are incredibly useful. My neighbor had an FJ, loved it, but always needed to use a trailer with it to get any chores around the property done.
