Yes both gauges are important indeed I’ve seen people not seeing the intended boost they originally tuned for and a quality boost gauge that is accurate will display this and creep can happen. Depending on how your tuner is the AFR gauge will show the quality of the dyno tune and show you if the AFR is off and a possible retune could be needed. As far as catastrophic failure go’s the oil pressure gauge is the only thing really that will save your engine because once you see 0 psi. oil pressure it is usually too late.
