Nope, it’s care free. Makes them stay clean a little longer, makes them way easier to clean, and adds a little protection from scratches and chips. And makes them have a wet looking shine when clean even when they’re dry. Very glossy.

You CAN clean them with a silica cleaner or a silica recharge chemical that will make the ceramic last longer. I just did that on these wheels after I took them off to sell.

My first ceramic coated wheels I never did that and it still lasted about 2 years.
That was an entry level ceramic, these have a mid level ceramic.
