I have bp turbo kit and live in Tucson with stock radiator, thermostat and cap. My water gets to temp quick since the turbo is water cooled. I planned to avoid driving in over 100* temps but the heat spike caught me with my pants down the other day and ended up driving in 115* unexpectedly. My temps never went above "normal" one dot below center. Ranged from 190-230*F max.

Hottest was when i was stuck in traffic in a construction zone. As soon as i start moving it drops quick. I think hood vents would help cool better and be less risk than an aftermarket radiator.

I have an 09 too that came with green coolant. I switched to Nissan blue about a week after I installed the turbo and noticed the temps were much more stable and dropped about 30 degrees. In the winter i was hitting about 220 in 60* ambient. After Nissan blue it was around 180-190*.

I am not sure if it was crap green coolant, air in the system or the nissan blue that caused the drop but i really think it was the nissan blue.
