Let’s look at the first and last place teams. How is it normal that Mercedes has a budget of approx. $400 million and Williams has $135 million?
Would capping spending at $200 million for example, really kill innovation in F1? I seriously doubt it. I know that it would make for a more interesting racing series for everyone. Actually I think that teams would be forced to innovate even more by striving to find ways to make a better car within a certain budget.
