You dont want to use the methanol system to increase your AFR, but to cool the intake charge and increase the overall octane level.

If the methanol system fails and you use it heavily for increasing/setting the AFR, you can easily burn up pistons regardless of the of timing. Increasing the timing will only make it that much easier.

Best thing to do is make sure you have the right fuel pump and injectors to support the AFR and power level you want.

I have injectors and fuel pump that can handle the boost ....I have two tunes one for 93 octane and another with methanol ...both set for the same boost pressure ...just the one for meth was tuned with more timing ....was looking for a way to add a safety for the methanol in case of a failure ...there used to be a system that would open the wastegates if the flow dropped but they don’t make it anymore
