The guy who posted that video said "turns out it was the input shaft. had to get the transmission replaced" ... Not sure if it really ended up being that or not but worth a post

Yep thats the same noise as I have
Seems drastic getting the transmission replaced for input shaft ?
Looks like this noise is present on quite a few cars , surely cannot be right ?
Could do with a survey ! who has the whining noise when stationary and revving the car with the clutch NOT pressed in !
