Default Custom built RC Cars, let me build your Z!

Hi All,

Business is really slow lately, so I'd like to offer my services to forum members. I need money for Z parts! Check out the blurb I used on my Etsy and let me know if you have any questions. PM me, I will offer a good guy Z discount as well.

What better way to show off your car than having your own functional 1/10th scale representation of your pride and joy? Show up tot he next car meet with a radio control car that looks just like your own and prepare to wow the crowd! I can even build specialized drift versions that are tons of fun skidding sideways in our own driveway or in between drift sessions at the track. All vehicles come with everything you need to run them (charger, battery, transmitter, etc) and will be tested and personally set up by myself before shipping them out the customer.

I have been involved in the radio control hobby since the age of 12 and have been working with/for manufacturers of radio control products for the past 15 years. Building the actual products is my favorite part of the hobby for me and I take pride in my craftsmanship. I have been involved in all facets of the hobby, from drifting to off-road racing, so I really have seen it all and still write how-tos and make instructional videos based on the hobby today. I love painting and airbrushing which translates well to making custom rc car body shells.

Enough about myself, let me tell you what I can offer. I would like to build a custom RC car based on your own vehicle! I will match the body, color, and wheels to the best of my ability using provided pictures supplied by you. I will work with you and make sure that you are happy every step of the way until the finished product is complete. I can do all sorts of custom work, so if you want something done that is not listed (more on that later), shoot me a message and I can get you a quote. Most sports orientated vehicles are doable, but depending on the body there may be a lead time if I have to order specialized parts from over seas. It is best to contact me with the car specifications you are looking for before placing an order.

Aside from the optional add-ons, I offer 4 packages with varying levels of quality and performance. Every vehicle is guaranteed to work perfectly, and as to which package you should buy will be up to your end goals with this vehicle. Every vehicle comes with custom wheels, body and paint to match your car. Each package can be set up for grip driving or drift. Drifting rc cars uses a harder plastic on the tire compound to facilitate sliding easier. If you can’t decide which I can include an extra set of wheels and tires for an additional fee.

Basic Version (Brushed) – $379.99
I will be taking a ready made rc car chassis off the shelf (manufacturer of my choosing, but will QC the quality personally), and modifying this to look like your car. Brushed refers to the motor type, and these are a bit slower and brushless counterparts, but also cost a great deal less. This will include a basic 7.2V nickel metal hydride battery pack and charger.

Basic Version (brushless) - $469.99
I will be using a similar car chassis to the brushed version, but the motor and electronics will be upgraded. Using a brushless motor will unlock tons more speed, longer runtimes, and less heat. These advantages are both seen whether drifting or grip driving and will allow for future power upgrades more easily. This still comes with a basic .2V nickel metal hydride battery pack, but the brushless motor will handle better batteries if you would like to upgrade this in the future.

Premium Version (Brushed) - $569.99
I will be personally building you an upgraded rc car kit from scratch. This vehicle will have many upgraded parts over the basic version, typically machined aluminum and carbon infused plastic parts. This will result in a more durable vehicle, but plain just looks better sitting on the shelf. Since I will be assembling every piece of this rc car, I will insure that it is properly set up and tuned for your desired driving style. These vehicles will tend to be more stable under high speed driving and lend themselves to future upgrades. The cost of these is significantly higher due to the labor of me building the kit from scratch, and sourcing individual electric components such as the battery, charger, and radio.

Premium Version (Brushed) - $649.99
Just like the premium version previously mentioned I will be building a high quality kit and setting it up personally. The difference here is I will be purchasing a higher power bruhless power system which will result in faster speeds and better performance, This is the pinnacle of all my packages and I will insure that every individual model is running flawlessly and performing the best it can.

Add-Ons
In addition to the vehicle packages I can do tons of custom work on every model. I myself design and 3D print many different parts to enhance the looks of most cars I own and those I build for others. You may mix and match options here, and if it isn’t listed, chances are that I can do it anyway so please ask if you have any ideas or questins of whether I can do it or not.

LED Headlights and Taillights - $35
Racing Seats - $30
Muffler - $20
½ Rollcage (only visible in rear window, painted) - $40
Full Rollcage - $70
Intercooler - $25
Opening and Closing Passenger Doors - $35
Engine Bay and Painted Engine (Opening Hood) - $70

I have attached pictures from my last 2 projects so you guys can check out some of my work (having issues uploading attachments here). I have tons more examples I can provide as well. Feel free to PM me with any questions or any price quotes. I can give a good guy discount to Z owners!
