Sale pending. It will be in good hands. In fact, the potential (passionate) buyer has big plans for this car.

DIGItonium 12-07-2013 11:22 AM

Thanks everyone for the compliments over the years. The buyer and I are making the arrangements to complete the transaction in the next couple of weeks. So consider it sold, and hopefully you will all hear more about the progress of this car as the new owner takes over this project.

DIGItonium 12-17-2013 07:22 AM

Unfortunately the potential buyer put everything on hold due to uncertainties with his job.

So this car is STILL for sale.

 I would suggest anyone that can. Do. If only for a minute or test drive. Work of art.

ZRed 12-18-2013 06:30 PM

I kind of hope you don't get it sold by May, that's when my fire academy is done and I will be purchasing a 370z to replace the 350 I once had. But I do hope you sell it cause thats a long time away to try and sell a car.

DIGItonium 12-18-2013 07:38 PM

It's tough... I was hoping to sell it tomorrow, take care of financial stuff, and then look forward to next year. I'm barely keeping my head above the water for the past year. :(

[EDIT] The potential buyer who is putting things on hold is hoping to hear some good news in a couple of weeks, which is when he'll get back with me on the car.

DIGItonium 12-28-2013 10:23 AM

Still looking for a new home...

DIGItonium 01-06-2014 12:55 PM

New years bump.

DIGItonium 01-07-2014 12:24 PM

Putting it on CL and car ads in a few weeks... would hate to have people joy ride this car and not buy it.

fairlady_z34 01-07-2014 04:13 PM

why dont you part it out? you may get more for your money, and im sure there are ppl out there willing to pay for those bada$$ parts

+1, parting out would get you close to what you are asking if not more..

I can see 10k in aftermarket parts another 20k in the car

DIGItonium 01-08-2014 08:33 AM

Parting out takes time and money with diminishing returns. I'd have to repurchase used and new OEM parts to restore including headers, heat shields, bolts, injectors, intake boxes, washer reservoir, crash beam, cats, exhaust, wheels, etc. All that stuff I didn't have room to keep around. I don't have the facilities or tools, so it will cost a grip with labor to remove and re-install parts. Plus, I don't want any surprises while restoring the car and flashing the ECU back to stock. If it's not broke, it is better to leave it alone so whoever buys my car knows they'll get something that's running right from the start.

I'm more interested in selling this car to someone who doesn't have a 370Z, but would like a good 450+ whp starting point to continue this project.

Mr&Mrs 01-10-2014 10:04 AM

I agree with the part out not worth it. Plus it would be like burning fine art. Hold strong for the right buyer or keep her forever.

takjak2 01-13-2014 05:30 PM

how is this still not sold?!

Lot of car for the money right here.

DIGItonium 01-20-2014 11:42 AM

Sill looking for a new home...

Malm 01-21-2014 08:25 PM

good luck! Its a real niche market especially with all the modifications you have done to the car. It is gorgeous beast of a machine.. but I can see how people would be nervous to buy someone project.

for 28k, you can get a 11-12 with basically no miles. Got to find that enthusiast out there!

DIGItonium 01-22-2014 10:53 AM

Thanks. It is definitely a looker, and I think it's because of the wheels, headlights, and the stance. There's so much more I want to do with this car, but I rather let it go due to other priorities.

rhd 01-22-2014 06:29 PM

GLWS Digi... your car is one clean, mean machine... Nice

Update 4/17/2014

Finally bought a new head unit, the Kenwood DDX8901HD. It is new for 2014. I'm in the middle of finishing up the installation. Similar to a few members here, I'm trying to mount the camera above the dummy fog light section.

I also went ahead and moved the gauge touch controllers out so it can be easily accessed.

Pictures coming soon!

DIGItonium 04-18-2014 09:24 PM

Last summer my old Kenwood stopped working after leaving the body shop, and I waited for a new model before purchasing one. I just finished the installation along with a rear view camera, and it works great. I definitely have a hard time letting this car go...

Below are pictures of the completed installation:

GTM Stage II Twin Turbp

I don't think I'm looking to buy the car as a whole, however would you be willing to remove and sell the GTM Stage II Twin Turbo? I know they go for $7995 off the site and I was looking to get one cheaper. I know that's odd, but let me know if you'd consider it.

There's nothing wrong with their Garrett kits. They're great. If you can get them. Let's not turn Digi's FS thread into another GTM bashing thread.

You mean you don't want to spend a bunch of money in parts and labor to part out your car for a guy who pretty much just said he's going to lowball you? Why not? :rofl2:

DIGItonium 04-21-2014 09:51 AM

I've received a couple PM's the past week inquiring, and then I hear nothing. One guy wanted me to drive my car or ship it to his location (~23 hr drive) so the shop can look at it. Right now I'm not that desperate to let it go especially after installing a new head unit, camera, and fixing my gauges. I managed to move the tiny controllers out so I can tap the "peak" button to see where I'm boosting at. So far it's close to 10 PSI when I mash the throttle. On average, barely 2 PSI lol.

Chuck33079 04-21-2014 09:53 AM

What kind of waterhead wants you to ship the car on your dime so he can take a look at it? I'd hope your response was along the lines of "Go **** yourself".

He just wanted me to think about it and that was it. Lots of people are telling me to just keep the car, which is what I'm doing until I run into someone who wants to buy it badly with cash in hand. I just need to get over a few hurdles the next year or so.

Zhoward93 05-25-2014 02:32 AM

I'm actually interested. Are you still selling this z?

DIGItonium 06-19-2014 08:34 AM

Price update.

Bao Tran 06-24-2014 12:00 AM

Very interested, but I'm not gonna waste your time until I have the money.
If it's still for sale in a month or two, Maybe your car will have a home in Indiana :)

Could have buy it if my dam 350z Tranny didn't break the day before the car was suppose to sell..

DIGItonium 06-28-2014 04:31 PM

Haha, I just noticed your message here and PM. I kept thinking it was from 2 people.

Gorgeous Z. GLWS!

DIGItonium 07-03-2014 12:53 PM

Thanks! I'm giving up on the lip kit and will try to remove and throw it away in a month. We've got some stupidly designed roads that pretty much destroyed my lip kit.

Assuming I still have this car, I have lots of plans for the future of the exterior. I'm just leaving it as is for now since I have a lot on my plate. Plus, I'd rather get the power mods done. I'd love to build the motor up and turn it into a monster first.

Here's the plan for the future look of the car if I were to continue this project.
  • 2015 NISMO front and side skirts
  • Original rear bumper, but with something along the lines of the Varis CF rear diffuser.
  • Version 3.0 of the headlights, which is pretty much the same, but updated LED design and circuitry. I might opt for DRL setup, but slightly dim the landing strip LEDs when the headlights are turned on. I'd mount the turn signal projector lens deeper to reduce sun damage.
  • More subtle CF stuff.
  • Repaint the car with a dark graphite finish (yum)

In regards to the sale of this car. I'm keeping this car, but I am open to offers to see if someone wants to continue with the project.

I've been following this thread on an off. Man I can't believe how long this has been up. It's unfortunate that you weren't able to unload the car but at the same time it seems like you were destined to have it for just a bit more time.

I like your list of plans for the car and it seems like it could really come out awesome. Hopefully I'll run into a thread where you show some pics of the car after it gets painted etc.

DIGItonium 07-08-2014 08:33 AM

It's difficult to let go... so I'm trying to hang in there for another year even though I'm still open to sell it. I don't care for anything else either.

I'm in a similar situation as others... new house (2 years now), but I didn't plan on being alone in it.

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that. I know it sucks when you plan on things working in a specific way and nothing working out like that.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your car still though. At least you have that to keep you from losing it completely

DIGItonium 07-14-2014 11:28 AM

For anyone who is interested, I am technically still "open" to selling the car. The reason why I've not caved in to selling it is because I have not met with anyone who is serious enough to discuss. I understand there are several factors involved such as longevity and given the history of this car.

I can simply keep this car, but I am also constantly reassessing my current situation. It is not that easy to plan ahead, which is why I have to be ready give up the car at some point if the situation becomes dire.

Thanks again for inquiring.

xbrad 07-31-2014 01:05 AM

Beautiful car, been watching this for a while. Wish I had gotten more for my H2 and could of gotten this beast. Hope all goes well!
