$55,000.00 well over 100k to replicate!
As seasons change its time to move on to the next project. The Z is finally well sorted all that remains is tweaking the suspension to different setups and tracks. The car is very fast and sounds amazing. Hundreds of hours of development and testing have gone into this one of kind piece. 1. Oil cooling solved via a one of system designed and tested in house. • 220 temp sustained at over 500whp on track • 12 qt custom system w/two coolers 2. Fuel starvation solved • Custom 15 gal ATL fuel cell with built in surge tank and foam • still uses the factor fill location on the fender • Custom Aeromotive return fuel system will support over 1000whp 3. Eliminated over 50#s of unnecessary bracing • Solid subframe bushings designed and tested in house eliminate the need for the crazy amount of bracing in the stock Z The car is currently configured to Redline Time Attack Mod rear wheel drive specs. The class required factory glass and factory dash and console to remain, weight in the current configuration is 3000# dead (wet) This car has weighed 2800#s on track with glass in it, prior to the turbo upgrade. If you wanted to run it Unlimited, or just track day, or NASA TT you could drop 200#s with the addition of a full slick, lexan and a light battery We have had to do nothing to the car but change fluids for the last few months. It is very reliable; always starts right up, no smoke, no noises, no dead batteries, no codes, just a very solid car. We have had the Z at many events and it has always proved to be tough and reliable under the harshest of conditions. The touch screen gauge package allows the monitoring off 52 different parameters, as well as read and clear codes. I have never had a car failure that has kept us off the track. It is still registered and insured. I drive it to events on occasion if they are very close. The looks you get on the highway are priceless! Here's the quick and dirty .... 1. CnR heat exchanger radiator 2. CnR oil cooler 3. -10 oil lines 4. GReddy twin turbo kit install 5. custom filter relocation and -10 lines 6. OSgiken clutch 7. HKS boost controller 8. chase cam 9. AMS shifter 10. GReddy informeter touch gauge 11. chassis wire strip and rewire 12. JRZ suspension (tuning and spring rates) 13. suspension setup 14. The car performs great. It's a few ticks off the pace of a race prep'd GTR. On short tracks it fairs even better. 165mph back straight of Road Atlanta. I have run with 996 cup cars on slicks, and this car has always been on R888s due to class restriction. The brakes are stellar. You can overpower the ABS if you bite down hard or you can use it if you taper in a little. Turn in is immediate, the car points quickly and stays very flat. Getting on power obviously requires reserve as there is an overabundance of it. On low boost (450whp) you can typically be WOT by track out. High boost (520) requires more finesse. track times on R888s Road Atlanta 1:34 CMP 1:42 Roebling 1:17 Sebring (very hot!) 1:25 NSS 1:07 This car on slick would really wake up. I would expect as much as 4 seconds a track on the longer tracks. Which make those times blistering fast. |
Must be tough driving with that 2 inch steering wheel!

Sorry to hear you have to let it go, Some lucky persons going to have a blast.
