Glws turbo cars are hard to sell right now. I'm trying to sell my AAM TT car as well.

BC416 06-22-2016 10:29 AM

GLWS however you will get nowhere near $52k. Robert ^ has been trying to sell his TT Z for a while now and has been unable to unload it even around $32k.

madeinjapan 06-22-2016 11:47 AM

trying to get 52k with 2 pics 1 being upside down lol

370ZBlk 06-22-2016 12:24 PM

Damn.. Is that the new Q60?

scope22 06-22-2016 01:12 PM

lets see...i paid 32 for the car, spent 20 on it, yea 52 sounds fair....

you never get back anywhere near what you put in. I paid $24k for my car. I have $29k into the car. The car itself is worth about $21-22k. Been trying to get $32k for the car with the mods since I don't wanna pull the engine out to return to stock.

nomodsjk 06-22-2016 02:07 PM

Yea man i have ckose to 70k in aftermarket parts and labor plus blue book value and was only asking 45k for mine. I dont think anyone is trying to be nasty but you're really gonna have to come to terms with the fact that you will never get anywhere close to what u put into the car. But i wish u all the luck

TBatt 06-22-2016 02:28 PM

I have to agree with the rest, you will never get out what you have put into it. Most of the time you may only get what the book value of the car is and then maybe 10% additional. Think of it as a boost tax........

However, every once and a while, you can find that guy that has money to burn and wants it now. That is the buyer to find. Good luck.

JSur 06-22-2016 07:33 PM

How did you like the EcuTek tune? I have the AAM TT kit as well. More importantly how much did that run you? I haven't really seen prices anywhere online

11' 370z TT

Jayhovah 06-22-2016 08:19 PM

My TT build will be pried out of my cold, dead hands... but I don't have anywhere near $52k invested. Bump for a nice ride!

11' 370z TT

I don't think there are any known FL Ecutek tuners for the 370z on this board... though if you look on their website there are a couple in the state. I had my Ecutek tune done by JTRAN in Houston.

Mogoul 06-25-2016 05:18 PM

Guys I'm really sorry, I must have gone full retard or something... Didn't mean to put 52,000 meant to put 32,000. Sorry about the upside down pics I can not for the life of me figure out how to fix that. When I open them on my comp they're right side up. Anyway, yes as I said, 32,000 NOT 52. Here is a link to the ebay listing with the rest of the pics.

are you saying he doesnt have everything ?

Mogoul 08-12-2016 11:30 AM

Not sure who you mean by "he".

The reason I posted the list of parts in the AAM Kit is because I've had people PM asking me why I didn't upgrade the injectors/fuel pump when I had the TT installed. A few people don't seem to realize that the kit comes with injectors and fuel pump and that they were installed at the same time as the rest of the turbo kit.

Carbon_z 08-12-2016 12:54 PM

GLWS nice build

Mogoul 08-16-2016 08:55 AM

Mogoul. I have been searching for a 370z. I saw your car in autotrader. Is McClosekey selling it for you? I tried to find the carfax for it on autotrader, but the dealership didn't offer it, so I thought that was weird. So I decided to google the vin number and it led me here. Anyways I am interested in your vehicle. My goal is to have turbo Z, I preferred FI. But I am considering your vehicle since I can take a loan to buy your car with a turbo. As you know it's hard to take a loan to buy a turbo kit. I have not done any research on AAM TT, I am biased toward FI.

Just questions on the TT Kit and the car. I've never had a aftermarket turbo on a vehicle.

What kind of maintenance would I have to do on the turbo?
Does the clutch that you put in, does it eliminate the infamous CSC issue?
If anything goes wrong with the TT kit, does AAM have a good customer support, I live in PHX so there are a lot shops out in Arizona.

If you still own the car, I would rather just buy it from you than the dealer. The dealer is asking $28,999. I will be offering $27000.

Yeah I just called him. He doesn't own the car anymore. I will call the dealership.

boomersoone 11-10-2016 10:28 AM

Called the dealership. They are firm on the price at $29k. Then I would still pay about $2465 in az taxes. $500 az tags. Which gives me a grand total of $31965. Man :( Way over my $27k max limit. It was a dream.

what did you expect all you did was call and say hey will you take 27k?

of course they said no thats not how negotiating works with a dealer

madeinjapan 11-10-2016 12:10 PM

your max is 27k? so thats with tax/tags

why are you looking at 30k cars then?

dude that is why I was trying to figure out if Mogul still owned the vehicle, so I can avoid the taxes. And no that not all I did. I called them told them $27k is max. The internet manager told me $29k with tax and tag. She said the fees and tax was included in the price. Ended the call. Waited a few hours. Called back and told them I am willing to do $28K. They still don't want to budge. They should at least lower it to something, maybe meet in the middle. No one buys the car for what it is priced, at least I know I don't do that. That car has been at that dealership for 50 days now, I think it was worth asking for price. Some dealerships are willing to take a loss to move inventory. Doesn't hurt to ask. Worst thing they can say is no.

In Arizona, you don't pay taxes on a private sale, only if you bought the vehicle from a dealership (in state or out of state).

hes not from arizona

you better check your own laws

The base sales tax rate is 5.6%, but depending upon which part of the state you find yourself in, you could end up paying a few percent more. You will also have a vehicle license tax levied against you at the time of registration that is calculated based on a formula using the car or truck's total value.

I know he isn't in Arizona, he is in CO, so is the dealership. And yes I know about the taxes here. I pay a little bit over 8.5% in my city. But you only pay that if you buy it from a dealership (in state or out of state). You don't pay taxes on a private seller regardless where the seller is at. Yes the tag (vehicle lic tax), we call that tag in AZ, basically you pay that everytime you renew your tag or when you get your tag, for that car is probably around $400-$500. I have a 14 highlander, and the formula is calculated from the base model price (every year it will go down), so I know what I am expecting. And if I do buy it from the dealership, when I register it in AZ I would have to pay the difference that makes up the 8.5% tax rate. Anyways the dealership has it and have yet to call back. I'm sure something else will come up.
