I thought so too until earlier this year when I saw some more pics. The passenger seat has the same bottom as the regular seats.
Strangely, Nissan has a slightly different bottom for the driver's side seat. The design looks halfway between the regular seat bottom and the bottoms of the Recaro Sportster CS.
The center sticks out a bit farther than the bolsters and the bottom bolsters have two rows of stitching and I think slightly different shape vs the regular seats.
Even more interesting...This article clearly shows both driver and passenger seats with the slightly different base (both seats have the double stitched bolsters and the extended center cushion)
