Default New Lamborghini Biopic

Antonio Banderas, Alec Baldwin to star in upcoming Lamborghini biopic | Driving

"Yes, there’s another biopic about a legendary automaker in the works. This time, it’s about Lamborghini – and it’ll star Antonio Banderas.

According to Variety, Banderas will play Ferruccio Lamborghini in Lamborghini – The Legend. The movie will be an adaptation of a book by Ferruccio Lamborghini’s son, Tonino, and will also star Alec Baldwin as cross-country rival Enzo Ferrari. Michael Radford will direct the film, and Bobby Moresco is tasked with writing the script.

The biopic will cover most aspects of Ferrucio Lamborghini’s life, including his time building tractors and, of course, the spat between Enzo Ferrari that ultimately pushed Lamborghini to create what quickly became one of the world’s most exclusive automakers."

Comes on the heels of this (announced last month):

Robert De Niro set to play Enzo Ferrari in upcoming biopic | Driving

"
Robert De Niro has confirmed he will portray Enzo Ferrari in an upcoming movie due out next year.

De Niro, 71, will portray Ferrari through most of his life – from 1947 when Ferrari founded the legendary company to his last days in 1988.

The movie will be produced in Italy by former photographer Gianni Bozzacchi, owner of Triworld Cinema, in collaboration with De Niro’s own company, Tribeca Film. A director hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but rumour has it Clint Eastwood is “very interested” in the role.

In addition to De Niro’s film, director Michael Mann is reportedly planning a film of his own about Enzo Ferrari, based on a 1991 book by Brock Yates titled Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races. Production of that movie is set to begin in 2016.

And to get you ready for both films, we’ve got 19 reasons why you should be a Ferrari-holic."
