Unless you regear 1st usually becomes useless as it's to short. Second is still geared short enough in many cars to launch with and will take to 60 plus without a shift.

After supercharging my current C7, and past BMW's 1st became a waste of time in all of them. Guess you've never had anything with real power or you'd know that.
