Sorry to hear you had a rough time with AAM. I can't endorse their labor in this situation, but at least the parts they manufacture are still acceptable.
I've done that install in my driveway in less time. If anyone in the Mid-A wants a shade-tree quote for things like this, always feel free to PM me. I'm not afraid to say "no" when I'm busy or it's something I don't want to do (cat demon bolts), but I can usually offer installs or replacement for 30-50% of your shop quote.
