It sounds like he doesn't have a matched set already. 4 piston AP fronts with 1 piston OEM rears? It seems to me that upgrading the OEM rear to 2 piston Akebono rear (or ideally a matched AP rear) would be on par with upgrading to the sport package calipers (4 piston fronts/2 piston rears), keeping relatively close to the OEM brake bias. Obviously pads can significantly influence this as well.

Did you upgrade rotors also? Or is that not necessary?
