It's easier and you'll have more ease of mind sending it over to Vortech. Your warranty will pretty much be gone if you go the alternative routes. From what I've read, the Si is actually better than 928's impeller and kicks in earlier.

It's a bit risky having the Ti conversion done as well because they need to bore the unit. If you really want it, you gotta buy the whole unit off the corvette sites, since Vortech specifically makes it for them.
