For these shots I just used my little Panasonic Lumix FZ38 (compact SLR). It's got a good lens and excellent zoom.
I waited until shortly before sunset, to get a good, warm, low light on the car and I must admit to bumping up the contrast and the red levels in Photoshop. Some call it cheating - I call it 'post-production tweaking'.
