He doesn't need anything to be faster.

As pointed out, he makes more power stock and his car weighs less.

OP, check out the dyno curves for a stock 370z. The VVEL, aka Nissan VTEC, allows the engine to make power all the way to redline. The transmission in the Maxima may allow for a bit more power to be put down, lower in the rpm range (the car is not meant to be a screaming red line banshee like the Z).

At 4500rpm, shiiiiiiet, you still have 3000rpm to go. Our engine doesn't taper out, in terms of horsepower. The power numbers just grow until redline.
