Definitly a cool innovation, makes total sense for sedans and SUV's who need to meet those higher MPG's that their competitors are getting while still making decent power. Notice the integrated turbo manifold in those engine pics you posted, I haven't seen that before, wonder if that's just to make it more compact or some other reason.
